White glow in the dark yarn is the most striking of all our colours once the lights go out – the luminous strand is not dimmed by any base colour, so the glow is clean green and at its strongest. By daylight there is nothing unusual to see. That is the main reason people choose white: the effect only appears when the lights go off.

Of all our colours, white gives the brightest glow – a clean green. On a rug it suits stars, a moon, clouds and outlines on a darker background; in amigurumi, eyes and small details meant to “come alive” in the dark.

How it glows
Like any glow in the dark yarn it charges from ordinary light – a few seconds by a window is enough even on an overcast day, and longer exposure means a longer glow. The strongest glow lasts roughly the first ten minutes and then fades gradually.
Working with it
In a tufting gun it behaves like regular tufting yarn: about 3 mm, cut or loop, with the number of strands you would use for yarn of a similar weight. It is equally suitable for crochet and knitting. A ball holds 50 g and about 60 m – it is meant as an accent, not for a whole piece; combined with regular yarn it looks striking and stays affordable.
